Collecting Chinese ink painting with confidence
Buying art across borders raises a fair question: how do I know what I am getting? These are the things we believe every collector should be able to check.
Provenance. Every original we offer comes directly from the artist and their institution in Sichuan. We share the provenance information available to us for each work, so you know where it comes from.
Originals and reproductions. An original is an original. Fine reproductions exist and can be beautiful, but we label them clearly and never sell them as original work. If a piece is a reproduction, the listing says so.
Condition and detail. Each work is photographed in high resolution. On any artwork page you can open the viewer and zoom in to study brushwork, seals and inscriptions before you enquire.
Format and framing. Chinese works arrive unframed and rolled, unframed and flat, or mounted as a scroll, depending on the piece. We will advise the safest option for shipping and for your wall.
Delivery. Works are packed to museum standard and shipped fully insured worldwide, with export documentation handled for you. Ask us for a quote to your country.
